FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kari Taylor Releases Debut Single
The talented vocalist from California is set to release her exciting debut
single, a move which is highly anticipated by her fans across the world.
Kari Taylor is releasing her debut Single on May 17, 2011, marking a huge stage in the career of the multi-
talented singer-songwriter. Kari, who lives in Torrance, California, has just put the final touches to the Single,
and is now preparing for the imminent release that will hopefully build upon her fan base and get her music
heard by more people than ever.
The Single, ‘Love Come Down' (The Remake) is a cover of the original written by “Kashif” and originally sung by
Evelyn Champaign King. Kari’s version provides a combination of high-energy, soulful, edgy, vocals and music
that is punctuated throughout with elements of hip-hop, R&B and house.
The single was recorded at S.M.G. Studios in Inglewood, CA and Blue Palm Studios in North Hollywood, CA. and
S.M.G. Studio in Inglewood, CA. It was produced by Wendell Wellman courtesy of S.M.G., engineered by Rich
Niles, and Mastered by Grammy Nominee, Erick Labson courtesy of Universal Mastering Studios.
The theme of Kari’s recording project underlies the different changes a woman goes through when she is in
love, changes that Kari has experienced throughout her life. It is this that has helped her to develop her musical
style.
‘Love Come Down’ (The Remake) reveals the stunning array of influences that have found their way into Kari’s
music. Kari’s grounding came from Gospel and R&B music – however, she has always been known for exploring
all types of music in other genres. For this reason, she has infused R&B, pop, Jazz, and House into her music
for a unique, new and exciting sound.
Kari’s life has certainly been full of experiences. Not long ago, she was invited to join a cast of celebrities
including Chante Moore, Tata Vega, and Sheldon Reynolds (EWF) to perform in honor of Michael Jackson
whose Award was accepted by his brother, Tito Jackson, an unforgettable experience that shows she has
already made a name for herself and her appeal just continues to grow.
Kari has said of her work: “I was brought up around a very talented family. My mother and grandfather were both
singers and Actors, my uncles and cousins were in singing groups and some are in the industry now. I’ve
performed on stage since the tender age of 5. Since then, my style has developed and I have incorporated
other genres which have all been highlighted in ‘Love Come Down (The Remake).’ The single is the first that is a
reflection of my influences over the years and the changes of love that I’ve experienced in my life.”
Kari has been influenced by numerous artists such as Whitney Houston, Phyllis Hyman, Sade, Janet and
Michael Jackson.
The Single will be launching on May 17, 2011, and fans are encouraged to visit Kari’s Website, which provides
