A LETTER FROM OUR CEO
A Letter From Our CEO
At the tender age of 7, I was the lead singer of a singing group called "The Little
Stars." We performed all around the Los Angeles County area. It was from that point
that I realized my dream would be to pursue a career as a singer and performer, in
the field of Entertainment. While in Middle School, I coordinated my own singing
group called the "Shilites" and performed in various community talent shows and
social events. Eventually, I was sought out to join other groups; By Design and
Klear Cut),which prompted interest from major artists like Prince (By Design), as
well as entertainment magnate, Lou Adler, who signed our group (Klear Cut) to Ode
Records, a subsidiary of A&M records. Eventually, I stepped out on my own and
began a solo career. This opened the door to various entities of the music industry -
recording sessions, performing with headliners, recording sessions, going on tours,
writing songs, and ultimately, another record deal, this time with MCA Records.
After a long road of rejections, I decided that I wanted to learn the "business" side of
the entertainment industry. It was then that I decided to take some time off of singing
and performing and focus on songwriting. As I pursued my career as a songwriter, I
also had the opportunity to work with Freddie Rhone, a very talented producer and
film writer. Freddie introduced me to Jackie Jackson (who was his partner at the
time), one of the members of the music industry’s most prominent legendary family
entertainers. Jackie, signed me to his production company, Brandi Productions as a
Production Coordinator. It was Jackie who provided me with the opportunity to
learn the inside of the music business. This valuable working relationship flourished
as I was given the opportunity to find aspiring talent for Jackie, in association with
John McLain, for Interscope Records as well as assist in developing that talent for his
production company. This led to working with several (now prominent) producers
and major artists such as L.A. Reid and Baby Face, Trevor Lawrence, Jon B, The
Jones Girls, and Craig T. Cooper to name a few, some-before they became famous.
From that experience, I also worked with Vibe Squad (a then subsidiary of Quest
Records) and other production companies as well as ESP-PR, a prominent PR firm. I
eventually developed my own non-profit organization, the Ed-F Company, in which I
coordinated talent showcases to raise funds for the educational needs of schools in
the south Los Angeles area. This led me to found a new non-profit organization
called The HUSH Foundation to assist children and the elderly. To give back is
indeed a rewarding experience.
I have since returned to pursue my dream, and while doing so, I have applied the
valuable experience I’ve gained working in front and behind the scenes of the music
industry; the result-an Indie record label. Thus I invite you to share in the birth of a
new experience..."EarForce One Records." I have had the opportunity to work with
some of the best producers, songwriters, and musicians in the music industry on a
Solo CD project - Wendell Wellman and Preston Glass, two masterminds when it
comes to producing and arranging,Sharon McMahan,a brilliant songwriter, D.A.
Bookman, a phenomenal musician, and Rich Niles, an outstanding Engineer. To top
it off, we recorded in a luxurious studio with quality sound, the highly acclaimed Blue
Palms Digital Recording Studio, owned by Trevor Lawrence, located in the heart of
North Hollywood. At EarForce One Records, our team is solid, and on one accord
and it shows in our unique style, original content and different sound. As we
continue to work together, we look forward to the future release of our current
project - my single entitled "Love Come Down (The Remake)."
As we press ever-forward, we look forward to providing additional quality artists and
music that will appeal to every listener for decades to come.
Musically,
Kari Taylor
